Call for emergency medical help should you experience any signs of negative reactions, such as: difficulty breathing, hives or swelling of the face, tongue, throat or lips. In some rare cases the drug may cause a condition which results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissues. This, in turn, leads to kidney failure. Contact your physician immediately if you experience tenderness, muscle pain or weakness, fever, vomiting and/or nausea, or pass dark-colored urine.
Serious side effects of Generic Cozaar include : a burning or pain while passing urine, a pass-out feeling, pale skin, shortness of breath, light-headed-ness, chest pain, wheezing, weak pulse, muscle weakness, irregular heartbeats, or a tingy feeling.
Less-serious side effects may include symptoms of flu or cold, such as: sore throat, stuffy nose, fever or sore throat. Other common side effects include dry cough, pain in the legs or back, muscle cramps, diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, headache, tiredness, or insomnia (sleeping disorders).
Side effects vary among individuals. In studies conducted among 4,000 patients, including 800 for over a year and 1,200 treated for over six months, the incidence of side effects after administering the drug was found to be very similar to placebo.
